Experience an exciting cycling adventure through Manu National Park, one of the most biodiverse natural areas on the planet and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The journey begins in the Andes and gradually descends into the cloud forest and Amazon rainforest, passing through spectacular landscapes, traditional villages, and an incredible variety of flora and fauna.
During the trip, you will enjoy thrilling bike descents, birdwatching opportunities including the famous Andean Cock-of-the-rock, jungle excursions, and an exciting rafting experience along the Manu River to Atalaya, making this tour the perfect combination of adventure and nature.
- ITINERARY
Day 1: Cusco – Paucartambo
Pickup from your hotel in Cusco at 08:00 a.m. to begin the journey by tourist transport toward the historic town of Paucartambo. Along the way, we will travel through the Sacred Valley and ascend to a mountain pass located at 4,800 meters above sea level, where we will receive a safety briefing and cycling equipment.
From this point, we will begin an exciting bike descent through breathtaking Andean landscapes until we reach Paucartambo. At the end of the day, we will enjoy dinner and rest at the campsite.
Day 2: Paucartambo – San Pedro
After breakfast, we will travel by vehicle to Ajanaco Pass, considered the gateway to Manu National Park. From here, we will begin a spectacular bike descent through the cloud forest, where we may observe a wide variety of orchids, ferns, butterflies, and birds, including the famous Andean Cock-of-the-rock, Peru’s national bird.
After lunch, we will continue enjoying the incredible natural surroundings until we reach San Pedro, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 3: San Pedro – Pillcopata – Atalaya – Cusco

A beautiful colonial town considered the gateway to Manu National Park. It is known for its cobblestone streets, traditional balconies, and rich cultural heritage, making it one of the most representative towns in the Peruvian Andes.
Ajanaco Pass
A natural viewpoint marking the entrance to Manu National Park. From this point, the route begins descending toward the cloud forest, offering spectacular views of the transition between the Andes and the Amazon.
San Pedro
A small settlement surrounded by cloud forest, famous for being one of the best places to observe the Andean Cock-of-the-rock, Peru’s national bird, as well as a wide variety of other birds and native flora.
Pillcopata
An Amazonian town located in the upper jungle of Cusco, surrounded by lush vegetation and crystal-clear rivers. It is the starting point for the rafting adventure and an excellent area for observing the region’s biodiversity.
Atalaya
